History

A Historic Property. A Modern Trailblazer.

Wylie Center & Tupper Manor at Endicott College currently consists of multiple buildings that all share a unique history, interwoven with the growth and history of this great New England college campus.

WYLIE CENTER

Constructed in 1955, the building that houses Wylie Center was originally utilized as Endicott College’s gymnasium. Today, the Wylie Center & Tupper Manor is proud of its partnership with Endicott College and its role in teaching hospitality – as well as in delivering it. Many of our students have become leaders in the industry and taken on management roles at some of the finest hotels, restaurants, and inns in Boston, New England, and abroad.

TUPPER MANOR

The historic Tupper Manor was originally built in 1901 as the summer home of the Bryce Allen family, founders of the Canadian shipping company Allan Shipping Lines. Endicott College purchased the home in 1943 from the Allan family, and named it “Tupper Hall” after the second president of Endicott College, Dr. Eleanor Tupper. Since then, Tupper Hall has been used as an Endicott College residence hall and as the home for the Endicott College’s School of Hospitality Management.

ENDICOTT COLLEGE

Endicott College, located in beautiful Beverly, Massachusetts, is one of the finest liberal arts schools in New England. Endicott has a state-of-the-art performing arts and athletics center, as well as a new ice arena that opened this fall, providing many opportunities for entertainment and recreation.
