This winter, The Cabot Theatre is home to some of the best musical performances in the area!
Originally known as The Cabot Street Cinema Theatre, this North Shore treasure has been a center of the community of Beverly since its opening in1920. Today, The Cabot Theatre still brings the people of our area of the Bay State together, but no longer to view the pictures on the silver screen, but live performances of a variety of persuasions. Theatrical productions, concerts, comedy events – they all take pleasure in gracing the stage of this architectural wonder of yesteryear to the delight of thousands of patrons. Be sure to mark your calendar for these upcoming events:
As a fundraising benefit to support The Cabot 100 Campaign, the Queen of the New York session scene in the 1970s in bringing her soulful songbird style to the stage on Thursday, January 23 2020. Now, after over six decades of being in the music industry, “An Evening with Patti Austin” celebrates the power of music and its ability to unite us all in harmony. A bright message of light that is a perfect fit to honor the 100th birthday of the beloved Cabot Theatre, the concert starts at 7:30PM.
You may think that a musical act that has the words “Heavy Metal” in the name would be rocking out with shredding guitars and booming vocals that send your heart into palpitations. Yet that is not what you will find when Heavy Metal Horns grace the stage of The Cabot Theatre on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 8:00PM. Blending elements of George Clinton’s funky beats and the grooving rhythms of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, this force of the Boston music scene was meant to be seen live. The 11-piece outfit is a true blend of rhythm & blues, reggae, jazz, soul, and funk that will blow you away, analogous to their own horn-blowing, brass heavy beats.
Don’t be confused by the name once again… there are no Peppers to be found in this band. Instead, when The Red Hot Chilli Pipers hit the stage of The Cabot Theatre on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 8:00PM, they will be bringing the rock and roll… with bagpipes! This 9-piece ensemble is a complement of pipers, guitarists, keyboardists, and drummers, all ready to rock the stage with attitude and a Scottish accent! With celebrity fans from Sir Paul McCartney to Samuel L. Jackson, this worldwide sensation is ready to bring their feel-good covers to Beverly.
